I started off small with the Maybelline Dream Mousse blushes that are sold in the US in various drugstores. Since then, I have branched out and tried the MAC and the Bobbi Brown cream blushes.
I have to say I am head over heels in-love with these products now. They have all become Holy-Grail, must-haves. Products I will replace when they run out. I have figured out a way to use them that does not require a lot of product to be used, and the makeup stays on my face for the remainder of the day.
Every day after I apply my foundation and concealer, I use one of the three blushes mentioned above. I don’t use more than one at a time, but since I have a variety of colors from the three brands, I use them based on my looks. Either using my middle or index finger or the Sigma SS188, I dab the blush onto the apple of my cheeks and blend out. Cream blushes are EXTREMELY pigmented, so a very little bit of product goes a very long way. I have been using many of these for months and have yet to make a dent in the product. I will say the Maybelline requires more product than the Bobbi Brown or the MAC that I own, but that’s to be expected out of drug store makeup. At least, that’s what I would expect.
Once the color is well blended, I take either my MAC 129 or Sigma 187 and apply my normal blush on top of the cream/mousse blush. This seals the cream blush and creates a unique blush all to itself. Most of the cream/mousse blushes I own are roses or corals. They are colors that can be used layered on top of and not look bad. If I’m really in the makeup mood, I will take one of my MAC MSFs or my Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick and use that to highlight my cheek bones. Using the cream/mousse blushes as a base really makes it so the blush you apply on top does not move. I can go to the gym for almost two hours and when I am taking my makeup off at night, I am still removing blush!
I hope you will consider these products now and give them a go. I love them!
