Berry Energy Smoothie


While searching pinterest for something that would give me a boost in the morning, I found a few recipes I liked. After trying a few of them, I made some modifications and had an amazing smoothie that left me feeling not only full, but full of energy.



  • Yoplait berry smoothie mix (substitute 1 1/2-2 cups of mixed fruit frozen or fresh – frozen means you don’t need to add ice)
  • 2 cups of fresh spinach (don’t worry – you don’t taste any of it!)
  • 1 can V8 Fusion Energy drink (I used Blueberry Pomegranate)


Combine ingredients in mixer. If it’s too thick after you add the can of V8, thin it out using water.  Makes 1 serving.

  1. I’m so glad you added spinach to your smoothie!!! Its the best isn’t it!! I have a plethora of smoothie recipes – One of my favs is from IowaGirlEats (google her). I modified my recipe to be Frozen Banana, Peanut Butter, Spinach and left out the dairy – just water. But I imagine dairy would make it more creamier than the frozen banana already makes it!

    **Also – that is another one of my secrets. To lower the “watered down” consistency smoothies can tend to have, I just freeze my bananas. DUAL PURPOSE!

    PS: I use the same blender. Easy, breezy cleanup, right?! I use a baby bottle cleaner to get down there!

    **Just one more thing. All fruit/veggie smoothies are amazing right!?- just frozen fruit, water and a little honey goes a LONG way! 🙂
